A new ‘Parisian Salon of Maria Szymanowska’ in the sumptuous setting of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Paris
The evening was opened by the Polish Ambassador, HE Tomasz Młynarski and the President of the Maria Szymanowska Society, Elisabeth Zapolska Chapelle.
The concert consisted of Songs and Piano pieces for 2, 3 and 4 hands by Maria Szymanowska and some of the many women composers of her time, still insufficiently known and recognized.
The Programme
The concert was organized by the Maria Szymanowska Society and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Paris in partnership with the Association ‘Wspόlnota Polska’, and financed by the grant awarded by the Polish Senate as part of its support for Poles living abroad.
